It’s a nice-looking truck. It goes pretty far on charge. but I just don’t trust EVS.

I’ve done a bit of reading on that. Range is usually calculated assuming the truck is carrying no cargo and pulling nothing. I suppose some people just use an EV truck for basic transportation. But if you want the truck to do any work, all bets are off.
Like you, I just don’t trust them.
I have a 97 Chevy 1500 that has been used and abused and still fired up every time we need it.
