The profit margin for supermarkets is only 1.6%.
#KamalaHarris said that's "excessive," and she wants to impose #PriceControls on food.
Either she wants to cause food shortages, or she's too dumb to understand #Economics 101.
Which is it?

#Communism
They make money in volume because most customers shop there weekly. But at the end of the day, 1.6% is a shoestring. Moronic ideas like hers will reduce that to 0% very quickly. Very quickly.
clearly both.
She won’t suffer the shortages though.
The HO is too dumb to understand 8th grade high school subject, let alone any 101 level college course. This includes the sub-stupid level ones like eddikashun and studies. Now, does this not make one wonder about her “Law Skool” and it’s ...uh...standards?
The food producers and distributors are gouging America. /s
2) The string pullers understand but hope enough voters do not.
3) Shortages will be blamed on some subset of their enemies. Or perhaps climate change.
4) It is part of the same enterprise as the war on farmers.
I keep hearing that about the profit margin, but when my grocery store charges $22 for a 40 ounce pack of bacon, $5.29 for a pound of store brand butter, and $3.50 for a dozen white eggs (not pasture raised or free range), I have to doubt that profit margin figure. We also have a couple of stores that claim to charge 10% “over cost”, for everything (cost includes, of course, overhead, like wages and their cost for the products, etc.) Except for a very few specials, their prices aren’t any better than the other stores. So, no, I don’t believe the 1.6% figure.
I don’t want price controls, but I do believe price gouging is occurring, and that it should not be allowed. Of course, we consumers DO have recourse -— we COULD just not eat...
When Marxists call anything “excessive”,the state will always destroy that excess. It’s usually destroying people who are in the way of the regime and revolution.
Thank the Lord for supermarkets. I certainly appreciate having food so close to my house.
It would not take much to disrupt our fragile food supply chain and these idiots dems could do it.
Grocery stores do an almost 1 trillion dollars per year business. 1.6 % of a trillion is a lot!
If profit margins were that low. You wouldn’t be able to shop around and find prices varying as much as 40% on a lot of items.
Both with the addition of evil incarnate.
the govt will control everything
and
it will be glorious
FDR’s theme song was “Happy Days Are Here Again” (they weren’t). Kommie-La’s song is “It Wasn’t Me” (it was).
When the bread supply runs out because of price controls, she can say “let them eat cake”
BTW, I don’t think price controls are good, but I sincerely doubt the 1.6% profit margin.
“If profit margins were that low. You wouldn’t be able to shop around and find prices varying as much as 40% on a lot of items.”
You’re disastrously confusing the unit with the aggregate.
the answer is both
She just thinks it sounds good to the masses. She thinks it wins votes. It really doesn’t matter if she believes in it or not.
She will never do anything about it if elected.
Embrace the power of the word, AND.
Starvation is a commie tactic.
First the lies about ‘gouging’ then the plan to ‘expose’ business, then punishing any business run by Republicans or opponents, then prison sentences, food manipulation with only liberal ‘elties’ having decent food - then starvation for the masses. Millions die under commie takeovers. CommieLa Roundheels is a useful idiot for now - a killer if she’s elected.
It’s happened many times since Marx came up with the most evil ideology in the modern world.
Will she provide every family a rice cooker like Castro did? Oh, happy days!
