If women shouldn’t be able to vote because we’re more likely to vote Democratic, then perhaps men shouldn’t be allowed to drive because they are more likely to drive drunk and get into more accidents than women. Testosterone and cars don’t mix.
When women couldn’t vote it was legal for a man to beat and rape his wife. Many men drank or gambled away the family income and the wife frequently couldn’t divorce him or keep her own wages. Men, like women, work best when there is accountability for their actions and the law in those days failed to provide them with that. I have no confidence that today’s men are any better at holding their abusive brothers accountable. Reason #4135 why I married an Asian man who spent the first 14 years of his life in Asia: same IQ as a white guy without the anger and the attitude. Slimmer and slower aging too, but that’s neither here nor there.

I heard a black preacher once give an account of growing in a small town in TX aa long time back.
There was a man in the congregation who regularly beat his wife. the church leadership got wind of it and paid him a visit and told him it must stop now or they’d take action.
He didn’t and they did.
He beat her once again and the church elders and deacons paid him a visit and beat the snot out of him.
THAT ended the abuse.
Funny how your attitude changes when you’re on the receiving end of the abuse.
And have you noticed that history is replete with examples of women dictators and mass murderers, and armies of women marauding and molesting (raping?), torturing, and killing unarmed civilians?
And that this world was a virtual utopia and paradise before women in America got the vote?
