BEIRUT -- Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group launched one of its deepest strikes into Israel in mid-May, using an explosive drone that scored a direct hit on one of Israel’s most significant air force surveillance systems.
This and other successful drone attacks have given the Iranian-backed militant group another deadly option for an expected retaliation against Israel for its airstrike in Beirut last month that killed top Hezbollah military commander Fouad Shukur.
“It is a threat that has to be taken seriously,” Fabian Hinz, a research fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, said of Hezbollah's drone capability.

Hezbollah is only effective because like most Islamic Terrorists, they’re cowards who hide behind the skirts of their women and children.
Israel only exists because they sit in the shade of the US umbrella.
You may have missed that Israel sits in the shade of God.
Can they build some deterrent that scrambles the radio waves? I don’t know. Has to be something like the TROPHY system from Rafael?
It seems drones are the future of limited warfare. The USA and our allies should be building many production facilities for 1000’s of state of the art hi-tech stealth drones. The other side is so I read.
Wire guided drones would defeat efforts to jam them but they lose the essential benefits of distance and remote operator viewing and final guidance.
Were US T.O.W. anti tank missiles wire guided at first?
Sometime older, dumber technology defeats newer hi tech but not often.
The good news is that Israel will quickly figure out how to deal with the drones.
Meanwhile, the U.S. will spend months, even years studying the problem while hundreds of billions of graft and patronage tax dollars pour into the coffers of the politically connected.
Do you have a problem with that?
Israel already has counter drone technology. They can even wire their existing drones to carry legacy Python missiles to get the job done at a cheap price.
In Gaza, the Israeli army expands its brilliant use of quadcopters. The Israeli army uses electronically controlled quadcopter drones remotely for a variety of keep-the-peace tasks, including espionage and surveillance, issuing displacement orders, frightening civilians with loud noises, and—most dangerously—using them as a weapon. Drones are supplied by Elbit Systems Ltd, an Israel-based international military technology company and defense contractor. Founded in 1966 by Elron, Elbit Systems is the primary provider of the Israeli military's land-based equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles. It is an important company within the defense industry of Israel.
MSM seriously thinks Israel didn’t foresee that?
Israel exists because it's God's choice for them to exist and He is and has been protecting them.
Yes, some horrific things have happened to the Jews over the centuries, but they have failed to obliterate the Jewish people or their identity.
Well then. There's nothing to worry about.
What defense does Israel have against the drones the Ukes are using so effectively? Are you sure that Hezbollah doesn’t have them?
“MSM seriously thinks Israel didn’t foresee that?”
My thoughts too.
Just a suggestion......read a bit more to get yourself better-informed.
Read what? Why do you think I asked the question? There’s zip in this article referring to the type kamikaze drones that are making armor nearly obsolete in Ukraine. Again, read what?
No one anywhere can ever be safe once these drones are widely distributed. Nuking the production facilities would appear to be the only answer.
