I remember a family member..years ago .. telling about a restaurant with one seat. Think it was somewhere in the mid west.

We have a few places [that I know of] in North Carolina that have limited seating and long lines. One place in Wilson is The Beefmaster. 10 tables, no menu. The place looks like a small brick ranch from the outside. They serve rib eyes, baked potato, Texas toast & all you can eat salad bar [the tomatoes are excellent...the whole salad bar is! Everything is so fresh and tasty]. They have the best steaks around! They bring a slab of beef to the table, ask what size you want as the chef lays the knife on the meat showing different sizes. Oh and you can also order an onion [NOT a blooming onion]. That’s it. Only thing you do is tell them what size steak and how you want it cooked. The current chef is now the owner and started there as a waiter out of school, I think. People tailgate in the parking lot waiting for a table. Once my son and friends ordered a pizza to be delivered to the parking lot while they waited for a table to open up! lol The parking lot is always jam packed too. Some people play cornhole while they wait for a table, drink and just chat with others waiting. Waiter comes out the door and hollers your name when a table opens up. lol

There’s another place in Greenville, NC. B’s-Bar-B-Q. I’ve never eaten there but when heading to Greenville, the line is always LONG at the window. I THINK they only have a few picnic tables set up outside, no seating inside? I’ve been told if you don’t get there early enough they run out of food and close for the day. When they widened the road, it was supposed to go right through where B’s is. So many people complained, they went back and rerouted the new, wider road to go around B’s Bar-Q. lol
