Made a huge difference in my life. Combine the walking with a healthy diet and a good night sleep and you will find most of your health problems go away. I'm in my 60s and have zero prescription drugs. You do need to invest around 2 hours a day of walking however to hit that target - I average around 13,000 steps a day.
Doesn't have to be done all at once either. A half hour here, 20 minutes there, it adds up.

I started walking about 6 weeks ago. Am averaging about 3mi/day but have no idea how many steps that is.
What’s the best way to measure step count?

I'm in my 60s and have zero prescription drugs. That was me in my late 60s. I watched my diet and ran 30 miles a week.
Then, BOOM! I hit a brick wall with cancer and kidney failure in a matter of a few days.
So much for all that clean living.
I'm back at it, though. At 80, I work full time, eat no-meant/processed food, follow a calorie-restricted diet, and walk 3 to 5 miles every day. So far, so good until God taps me on the shoulder.

I do believe it’s better to spread it out during the day, like every 2 hours do about 1000-2000 steps, than do to it all in one walk.
