For what it’s worth, it’s this woman’s *mother* Esther who wrote the book about “How to Raise Successful People.” To my knowledge, Susan wasn’t on the record bragging about her kids’ success.

You’re right - I got them confused. It was her mom bragging about accomplishments. I remember reading the interview and it turns out her sister was married to the founder and she just happened to get a job at google. That’s not parenting, that’s networking and who you know.

Wouldn’t wish cancer or child suicide/OD on anyone. It drives home the point, the trappings of wealth and material success are not immune from disease. Sad story.
