I have finally concluded that war is an unavoidable feature of humanity. I guess I have arrived.

Study history.

They tend to reserve the word ‘war’ more for aggression between nation states, but if you include territorial warlords all the way down to village tribalism in that category, the times of greatest peace are experience by those who are strongest and all their neighbors know it, and is an exception, not a rule.

"war is an unavoidable feature of humanity"

I agree however, war is easy for man, it is easier to make war than to conquer hunger, cloth the needy, shelter those without shelter. War only requires killing, helping our fellow man requires compassion, love and understanding, something I feel that a large part of the world has forgotten.

War in unavoidable and inevitable and it will be the end of mankind.

“I have finally concluded that war is an unavoidable feature of humanity. I guess I have arrived.”

We live on a vastly overpopulated planet with not only limited resources but dwindling resources and piss poor resource management. War is assured in all of those cases. There simply is not enough resources for 8+ billion to live at even EU middle class standards of living let alone American which is four times higher resource usage than the avg EU person. We could burn up every liquid hydrocarbon, every scrap of coal and still the 8 billion would be cold and hungry in under 50 years time. Thats with only 4 of the 8 billion at EU levels much less time if all 8 suddenly get first world energy and resource access. The number this planet sustains with only 100% sustainable resource use is between one and two billion at most. Yes I am a earth scientist PhD and post doctoral level this is well known and calculated in the community the question has always been how to get the population to a sustainable level without World Wars or a black swan die off. A simple two child policy would work on two generations. The West is already voluntarily well below a reproductive rate of 2.0 every western nation is with some below 0.8 Italy for example. It’s Africa, Latin America and Asia that’s breeding like rabbits.
