Paris Olympics will give out 300,000 condoms to athletes, continuing long-held tradition

The Paris Olympics will be providing athletes with 300,000 condoms — enough for two per person for every day of the games.

The condoms will be available in the Olympic Village this summer, returning to tradition after the International Olympic Committee issued an intimacy ban and social distancing orders for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The roughly 9,000 athletes will each also be supplied with a cardboard bed frame sturdy enough to support 550 lbs — or two adults.

"It is very important that the conviviality here is something big," Laurent Michaud, director of the village, recently said via Sky News. "Working with the athletes commission, we wanted to create some places where the athletes would feel very enthusiastic and comfortable."

Maybe they also have to give it to women cause some men may forget to use their own and so the women have to help.
Or even more cynically...some women could be “turning tricks”...have heard this goes on in the military...where women military women earn extra money from the sex starved men soldiers...looks like the Olympics is turning out to be a “super spreader” event. Not worth watching anymore.

I don't get the assumption that the world's elite athletes, who train for years on how to control their own bodies for peak competitive performance, are really frustrated sexual machines that will screw around amongst themselves in the middle of the biggest competition that they've been training for their whole lives.

Many of them are married with children; the communist athletes are being watched by handlers 24x7; some are girls who are under the age of 18; many have their families there with them (parents, brothers, sisters).

What does it say about the Olympic organizers that they are fueling what they except will be the world's largest Bacchanalia?
