Some on this thread - and social media - might remember me positing that Judge Cannon was dragging her feet examining issues in the Mar-a-Lago case because she suspected that if she dismissed the documents case too soon, Jack Smith would try to transfer the case to D.C. where he maintained a grand jury from day 1.
Now Judge Cannon HAS dismissed the case in south Florida and sure enough, Smith is reviving the case in D.C. - D.C. where a spoiled ham sandwich would be exonerated before Donald Trump. Worse, this filing is totally in violation of DoJ standing policy against filing a criminal case on any candidate up for election leading up to election day.
I think Donald Trump is correct when he says that the intent of this filing is just election interference; even with corrupt D.C. judges and juries it is doubtful this could ever be railroaded to conclusion prior to election day. HOWEVER, Jack Smith would dearly love to see Donald Trump shuffling off to the gallows.
