BREAKING : The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has withdrawn its proposal under consideration by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that would have allowed for the creation and listing of a new type of company called Natural Asset Companies (NACs) for public investment.

Here’s an explanation of NACs by the Utah State Treasurer, we have to stay vigilant. They will try to do it in another fashion/subterfuge.

Treasurer Oaks opposed a New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) proposal that was under consideration by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that would allow for the creation and listing of a new type of company called a Natural Asset Company (NAC) for public investment. The proposal posed a significant risk to rural economies by creating a mechanism for public and private land to be permanently removed from productive use in the name of solving climate change.
“The proposed creation of Natural Asset Companies is one of the greatest threats to rural communities in the history of our country,” Treasurer Oaks said. “Under the proposal, private interests, including foreign-controlled sovereign wealth funds, could use their capital to purchase or manage farmland, national and state parks, and other mineral-rich areas and stop essential economic activities like farming, grazing, and energy extraction. Recreating on Utah’s incredible natural lands could also face significant curtailment.”
Unlike other types of companies, the purpose of a NAC is to maximize the value of the land’s “ecological services,” rather than generate a profit from traditional activities. “Unsustainable extractive activities” including energy extraction and the use of farm machinery and synthetic fertilizers, would be prohibited on NAC-managed land.
In western states, where the federal government owns more than half of the land and is pushing for more conservation easements, the effect could be devastating. Natural Asset Companies could enroll the easements without the landowners’ consent.
Treasurer Oaks said, “I am pleased by the NYSE’s decision to withdraw this dangerous proposal. I appreciate the efforts of so many to provide input to the SEC, NYSE, and their elected representatives. This news illustrates the impact of public engagement on important issues. It is my hope this news signals an end to this horrible idea and that it does not resurface in other venues.”

There are numerous citations at Utah link explaining the NACs. But the SEC, NYSE and their banksters will lurk in the shadows waiting to reintroduce it again.
In my previous comment the cited and excerpted article on how they are implementing it in South America, if successful, will be a model of how they will try it in the future on the US and other countries. Wall Street, the SEC et al need to be dismantled and obliterated. IMO they are unconstitutional. As is all the federal land owned/controlled by government.

The University of Oregon has a dig going on the high water mark in Eastern Oregon. So far they’ve dated their hole to 18,000 years and they’re still digging. They haven’t published details yet but have found tools, etc. pretty much all the way down. What they’ve published so far has pushed back the old genius estimates for the area by over 10,000 years. Interesting side note is that when the water level was high there was not much dry land. Just islands made by the high peaks. So they seem to have eaten more fish than game.
Someplace down that hole they’ll probly find an old Ford factory? Could be where the Egyptians got their enviro friendly chariots?

I was in high school when the first plane got itself Cubajacked. Had to be about 1958. The Koobans let the guy off and sent everybody back, no harm done, sort of.
I never understood at the time, and never have, why the passengers put up with that krap. It seems it took the Shanksville passengers on 9-11 to wake everybody else up to how sitting on ones butt ain’t gonna work out.
Endlessly fascinating to me that even when passengers saw the ‘jackers using box cutters on the crew they still sat on their hands.
Security at airports? Yup, sure, last time I flew they took a bottle of water away from me. But they still allow box cutters and three inch knives. The stoopid never quits. It should be the airlines doing the screening. Not the Fedgov. If the airlines want a “clean “ load they should make it themselves instead of making everybody else pay for it.
On any given day I have enough weapons on me to finish a fight. But that crowd has no bleeping idea what they’re looking at.

Perhaps some people have the wrong idea about what “civilized” really implies. It has nothing to do with sitting on one’s hands when something - anything can be done.
I learned a huge lesson in my 20’s during the last beating my ex husband ever (tried) to give me. Somehow I decided that I wasn’t gonna cry and cower anymore and I fought back. I had nothing to lose and I didn’t care what I used to get the upper hand.
The last I recall was hanging onto his hair and banging his stupid head into the pavement out side….i recall screaming to him that I hated what he had turned me into.
But that’s not the point of this recollection. The point is…FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!. The civilized protect the weak.
The outcome is mostly worth the effort. If terrorists are killing the crew, the chances are you are dead as well…with nothing to lose…do not go out whimpering and cowering or watching as other innocents are killed.
I actually had another experience that tested this view, so I am certain I would not be a watcher, but a fighter. In my old age now, I certainly would not be effective and you know what? That makes no difference at all.

Nicely put. But just because you made it to senior citizenry doesn’t mean stupid stuff couldn’t happen where you are, tho. Keep track of your basic faculties. Try to know your surroundings. Know where your “stuff “ is and what it is. Sometimes there isn’t time for adrenalin to kick in. And with Mumbles and Heelsup destroying our citizen base there’s an even higher chance for dumb things to happen where you are.

I think I’ve told this story before. It’s about learning what you will or will not do to protect the innocent. If you’ve already heard it or don’t want to hear it, scroll on by.
I had just moved back to Texas and was staying with my parents until I found work. My 4 year old niece was staying there as well, for reasons not relevant just now,
A sheriff came to the door one night and told us my brother had been murdered. My dad was off visiting his mother, so my mom and aunt went to identify the body in Dallas, leaving me with my little niece.
Prior to leaving, I was warned that some thieves were breaking into homes in the area and stealing social security checks and beating homeowners up. I was given a description and told to watch out for them. They also said that my little niece knew who did, and did not belong (she’s 4 and I believed them)
Of course a car matching the description drives up in the side driveway, and two men matching the descriptions get out of the car. So I ask my niece if she knew them. “No Aunt Claws”. Are you sure? Earnest 4 year old face nodding no, big, round, serious eyes….
Oh great. This house has 3 doors, back, front, side, and several large windows (great wrap around porch) . I wanted to send her running to her grandmas house 2 blocks away, but I didn’t see where one of the men went, and I didn’t want him to find her and hurt her, the other was walking towards the kitchen entrance where I was viewing them from.
I take my little niece into my parents bedroom, looking for a place to hide her…ahhh, the clothes hamper! I take out the dirty clothes and have her climb in and tell her do not come out for anyone but me or the police or her mama and to remain still, after she agreed, I put the rest of the dirty clothes on top of her.
(She’s whining about this..”it stinks! It stinks!) I had no time to see the humor in this. Though it cracks me up to this day.
One thing I’ve known since I was her age was that my parents kept a gun in the top shelf of the closet to the left…in a shoebox…no matter what house they were in. It was an old Marshall Dillon-like gun, pearl handle and all.
So, I take this gun out, check if it’s loaded (it always was) and went to the kitchen.
The kitchen door had a window through which I could see the man who had finally made it to the door and was looking at me looking at him.
Then he tried the doorknob. I raised the gun so he could see it and cocked it. He looks surprised and tries the doorknob again. I shouted that I would kill him if he came in. I’m still worried about where the other guy went and was expecting an attack from the back…but I was gonna fight them both if need be. Not for me…for that little girl hiding in stinky laundry. After awhile, the men and the car leave.
And there you have it. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! Regardless of odds.
The ending of this story? Well, the guy that disappeared had just gone to feed the calf that they were boarding there, and the fella at the door was trying to pay the boarding bill. They were pretty pissed about my actions, from what my mom said, they didn’t know who I was either..
Glad I knew to wait for an attack before shooting. But this does not change my mindset according to the information I had. I absolutely know I will kill to protect an innocent, regardless of personal threats.
