I disaffiliated immediately after this year’s General Conference. Can’t be bothered with anything the UMC has to say at this point.

But I’m sure it wasn’t because of their position on the Lord’s day. I mean that has been their position since Wesley I believe. It’s a pretty good position with the exception of the wrong day. Right way but wrong day kind of thing.
I believe God honored the protestants who kept Sunday as the Lord’s day. They were going by the light they had for over 1000 years. The Sabbath breach is an end time repair. We read that in Isaiah 53 and Jesus sees the Sabbath in Matthew 24 at the end of time. It’s going to the dividing issue in the end because Anti Christ was prophecied in Daniel to be a great monolithic religious organzation who among other things...claiming to be God on earth, forgiving sins, etc....she “attempted to change set times and law”..Daniel 7:25.
AS the world soon implodes..everyone is going to run for safety. After 9/11 the churches were packed. When the plane is going down.....everyone prays. Those days are coming and she bides her time.....she can see what is coming..and he sits on the city of 7 hills.....Rome.
The Global Methodist Church retains the same Methodist Articles of Religion that the UMC keeps on paper, if your disaffiliation led you to them rather than unaffiliation or any other affiliation. It’s part of our heritage from John Wesley and the Church of England.
