Jesus came to us and brought salvation. The Old Testament is an old history lesson. The New Testament is to live by. Everyone knows that.

Lev 23:3 'Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
A holy convocation is a meeting of those who worship the Lord Jesus Christ who is God. Surely not obeying the commandment of God IS sinning is it not?
A correct understanding of scripture will show that obeying the law the law WITHOUT belief in Christ profits nothing. However if one enters into the new covenant with Christ we will WANT to do his will and his will is to keep,obey and preserve the royal law.
A very old heresy that Paul addressed:
Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
Sin is the violation of God's laws. The ancient argument is the same as the modern..."if we're under grace we don't have to keep God's laws"...in other words we're free to sin.
Rom 6:2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
A lot of people may think that but it is heresy to suggest that's it's true. There is no new testament (or covenant) without the old testament. It's like saying that you can eat all the gravy you want because it's more nutritious than the potatoes.

No they don't. They follow their own laws, rules and interpretation of the torah. Jesus was very clear in pointing this out.
Yes. Saturday IS the Shabatt, but we should be dogmatic about how people celebrate it.
I can’t argue but I believe most of them sincerely try to do it right. A really significant departure from everyday life if they follow the rules strictly.
There are special belt buckles with built it house keys so the person will not “carry” a key on the Sabbath. Probably keyfobs and other electronic means replaced them I would guess.
An item that is interesting:

Why stop at the 10 commandments? There are over 600 positive things you are supposed to do, and over 300 negative things you are commanded to not do.

It’s either 100% grace or 100% works. It is finished. Now that’s not to say we should not be doing good, no we are called to a higher level of behavior. But the LAW only kills, it does NOT BRING THE DEAD BACK TO LIFE.
Our sabbath as Christians is the REST from the work of the law. We should NOT have to strive to follow it - our soul should be being regenerated such that we no longer WANT to sin, and when we do, it grieves us.
The Ten Commandments are indeed good! But they do not save. The convict.
I don’t get what any of all of y’all are saying: Evangelicals-define who that is. Who cares if one worships on today’s Saturday or today’s Sunday, as long as one worships and carves out for God or G-d one day of every seven? Who is anyone to criticize either Jewish religion or Christian religion? Are we God? We could be wrong. We cannot see all. I have studied intensely including Catholic catechism and Eastern Orthodoxy and Judaism and I can attest that God or G-d is found in all and Judaism is the root of all as you know.
Satan has his own version of Truth.
That truth is central to Islam’s worship, Judaism’s worship and Christianity’s worship...

Interesting but there would be no Jesus if God wanted the Old Testament to be lived by.
To the Christian world. they have entered into God’s rest and no longer try to EARN their Salvation by dotting the “i” and crossing the “T” in the old Law. So to us, every day is a Sabbath’s rest to God’s people. They have chosen to do it on the day Christ overcame death and walked out of the grave.
God desires justice and mercy above all.
Law keeping is bondage.
Obeying God, which the Christian does from the heart, is what He wants.
Focusing on obedience to the Law misleads people in what a correct understanding of salvation by grace through faith is about, and what holy living is about.
It lends itself far to easily to judgmental legalism, determining a person’s salvation and walk with Christ based on do’s and don’t’.
Law keeping is great for checking off boxes.
