In short, though the seventh day was sanctified and set apart in Eden, reiterated in the Decalogue, kept by Jesus and the early church, and remains a weekly reminder of creation and redemption—1,800 years of tradition has so distorted the Christians’ view of the Sabbath that, yes, and unfortunately, most remain oblivious to the obvious.

Saturday IS the Shabatt. But Paul tells us not to get hung up on dates, tours and seasons.
There are those who keep the last day of the Creation and those of us who hold to the day of the Resurrection of Christ when he overcame death.
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
Mark 2:27
To release them from the strict and large list of rules and practices as stated in the Torah.
Orthodox and observant Jews follow those today.

The seventh day Sabbath predates sin. It was made for man in a perfect world. It was blessed, hallowed and set aside for holy use in Eden. For man as in mankind.
Today’s evangelicals don’t even keep Sunday anymore. Because they know Sunday isn’t taught in the Bible. So they threw it all out......now look at us.
But they want the 10 commandments all over the place....it’s bizarre.
“While SDA historians, such as A.W. Spalding, used to trumpet the fact that Mrs. White saw tall people on Jupiter and/or Saturn in her visions, after the middle of the twentieth century, when science began to show the improbability of such, Ellen White’s comments about tall, majestic people living on these planets stopped showing up in SDA books.”
This same false prophetess Ellen White, later claimed to have a personal revelation from God that Christians should worship on Saturdays.
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.Colossians 2:17-17.
Most of the law applies only to Jewish people, specifically including the Sabbath. Heck, much of the law only applies to Cohen, and still more only applies to Cohen serving in the Temple.
Gentiles (which is most, but not all) Christians fall under the Laws of Noah (effectively the 10 commandments, less the Sabbath).
Wait till Evangelicals find out the 15th Day of His 1st month is the Day Israel came out of Egypt AND the day Christ rested in the tomb after finishing His Work on His 6th Day.
And that wasn’t a Roman Beast Antichrist Papacy Saturn Day this year.
And isn’t most of the time, yet it is His weekly and Annual Sabbath every year, and a weekly Sabbath every month..
Saturn Day adventists aren’t going to like that either.
Neither will Islam and Judaism but there should be a price for following a Beast and Antichrist..
Kind of hard to Remember the Sabbath when Satan has created a different one using Rome and the Papacy...
Jesus is the Sabbath, that is why he talks about His rest.
How do SDAs explain Jesus performing miracles on the Sabbath? Many examples in the Gospels, never heard an explanation or acknowledgment.
SDA CULT!
SDAs, as many Christians, are stuck in the Old Covenant of the law which has bee substituted by God with the New Covenant of Grace. Thank you Jesus.
Per the Holy Scripture, the Ten Commandments were written in stone by the hand of God. In stone to symbolize that His Commandments are Ever Lasting, they stand forever and they do not change and they are not the ten suggestions. His Fourth Commandment begins with “Remember”, to keep the Sabbath Day Holy, Saturday the 7th day of the week. James 2:10, “If you break one commandment, you break them all”.
One day is as a thousand years . . .
We are living in the Sabbath day, 1000 years worth.
We are to enter God’s rest. Not 1 day in 7, but every day, all the time.
To clarify my previous post for those who might think otherwise; Obviously the Ten Commandments doesn’t say explicitly Saturday.
One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
Where in Scripture does God command us to keep the Ten Commandments?
God designated the seventh day a day of REST.
HE did NOT command us that that was the appropriate day to worship or you're sinning.
The Ten Commandments are the framework on which the Law hangs. If someone insists on obeying it, they are obligated to obey the WHOLE Law.
And that is no longer possible. The Temple and priesthood have been abolished.
overheard at a church luncheon...”oh I keep all nine of the ten commandments”.
Interestingly, in Russian, the word for Saturday is “Subbota” (sabath) and Sunday is “Voskresenye” (resurrection).
Nor does it define *work* specifically.
I suppose the guy who got stoned for collecting firewood on the Sabbath could be an example. Does that mean I can’t load my wood rack between sunset Friday and sunset Sat?
Am I being relegated to obsessively managing my life and schedule so that every detail of some undefined criteria of sabbath keeping is kept?
Sounds more like bondage to me.
