A cousin (just turned 80) is recovering from shingles on her butt & her ‘unmentionable’ parts as she described it. I cannot begin to imagine how horribly painful that must have been. She was visiting her sister for 3 weeks across the country & came down with the shingles at the end of her trip - had to fly home, barely able to sit. She got Valtrex & steroids, then most recently, needed antibiotics. Her ordeal has been almost 2 months. The blisters are in the process of healing, but the skin is still very tender.

I’ve heard of shingles inSIDE of unmentionable parts. I can’t even imagine ...

Yeah my mother was a godly woman. She had shingles for the last 15-20 years of her life. She lived in a world of hurt. She handled it with stoic grace and humor.

I was just about first in line when the new shingles shots came out about 10 years ago.

Nice to know they also aid in brain function.

So take a vaccine to help shingles which can be caused by the chickenpox vaccine?

I’ll pass... They’ll be dealing with the effects of this vaccine years from now.

“Did you lose any eyesight?”

Extreme tunnel vision, blurriness and sensitivity/pain to light. Total recovery.

I had a weeks-long bout with shingles in the scalp above my eye, but after the initial pain it didn’t hurt. (Was sensitive to touch).

It affected my eye, which caused more grief.

After the Covid fraud with Modrirna and Phizer. Hell will freeze over before I take any shot. If they mandate it, come armed. We will deal with it one way or the other. I’m not partial either way. I will die free before I do so with some government regulation. Brothers and sisters did you forget... The Land of The Free! There will be a price to pay at times, for our kids it’s worth it! Stand up brothers and sisters!!

Yup—my plan is no vaxxes and outliving all my doctors and folks who support vaxxes.

The Youtube censor lady just croaked.

I outlived her.

The most popular hiking hill/trail we have here is 600 feel elevation gain in exactly one mile. It is reasonably steep for casual walkers.”

Is that Anderson Butte? Great views but steep.

I started taking elderberry at the very beginning of what I thought was an outbreak of shingles. The outbreak stayed small and I opted to stay on the elderberry instead of the doctor prescribed antiviral. Not saying everyone should do that, but it worked for me. It was short lived and very mild.

If that’s the explanation for your attenuated attack then people who take quercetin regularly should experience significantly fewer and/or milder shingles attacks. Is that the case?

It’s an interesting idea, I don’t know. I just knew back in those days elderberry was a good anti-viral and I took it early when coming down with illnesses too.
