there is plenty of video evidence, and audio that shows that the rooftop shooter never got to fire a shot.

The counter-snipers were taking fire from sub-sonic suppressed shooters. those shots came from the window below the shooter. The rooftop shooter was dead before the first round hit Trump in the ear.

By some estimates, there were as many as 4 or 5 shooters. 1 in the window. 1 in a tree to the right of the water tower. 1 in a tree by the window. and of course the would-be shooter on the rooftop.
