What perplexes me is within a few moments of the shooting, secret service can be heard announcing that the shooter is down and at that time they proceed to move PDJT from the platform to the waiting vehicle. How did they know there was not a second shooter. How could they be so sure?

They were not so sure but they had to get Trump to a safe location and medical assistance. You can only go with the information you have at the time and a decision has to be made on the next course of action. Trump was bleeding and in a vulnerable position.
Was there a second shooter? I dont know but the agents who reacted to cover Trump up and get him to saftey did their job. Everyone else, not so much.
