Coulter's central issue for the last twenty years has been massive legal and illegal immigration.
The Republican Party has been fighting for its political existence for the last twenty years - because new Naturalized citizens and their USA born children vote 70% Democrat.
Trump made immigration a central campaign theme in 2015-2016.
In 2017, Trump literally turned his back on the immigration issue.
Trump appointed an Obama four star general to lead the Department of Homeland Security. A year later, Trump promoted that Obama general to White House Chief of Staff.
Trump then appointed a RINO female to lead DHS. She promptly appointed a center-left immigration lawyer to be her Chief of Staff.
When Restraining Orders blocked every Trump immigration initiative, Trump sent life time Swamp lawyers into Court to argue his case. Obviously, they lost on every issue.
In 2017, 2018, and 2019 - before Covid - Trump Naturalized more new citizens, Trump issued more new Green Cards, and Trump issued more foreign Work Visas, than Barack Obama did, in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Coulter was outraged, and she said so in public.
Free Republic divorced her, and has vilified her ever since.
Bottom Line...
A solid majority of the Republican Party quietly supports, or quietly ignores, massive legal immigration.
That is political suicide, but no one seems to care - except Ann Coulter.
It’s already too late.
Live the best you can. Every man for himself.
Coulter’s problem is that she didn’t just push the immigration issue when Trump was in the White House, she trash-talked Trump severely as if it was a personal thing.
My opinion is that Trump was incredibly naive the first time he was in office, with respect to the number of anti-American traitors that surrounded him, but the proof would be in his second term. If he doesn’t do the mass deportations and and close the border like he’s promising, then Coulter was right.
