Here is an alternative history scenario
First I believe the debate was a set up, when have you ever seen a debate before both candidates were nominated?
Second I believe the set up was if xiden did well enough t they would stay with him and replace after election, but if he did badly, like he did, they would still have time to replace him

So my alternative universe scenario is what would be happening if Trump had not agreed to a debate till after both conventions?
