I could probably stretch to 5-6 months with what is on hand, FWIW. But I need to take that to the full year, plus just be more organized about it.
I use 1/2 gallon canning jars for storing grains, pasta, and stuff.
I also save glass pasta jars or nut better jars for herbs and spices.
They form an air tight, mouse and bug proof barrier.
I had some ant bait under the sink at our cottage and this spring found the boxes and the plastic bait stations all chewed up and the bait all gone. I hope it killed the mice.
