The first delivery of F-16 fighter jets from NATO allies has arrived in Ukraine, in a long-awaited move that may boost the war-torn nation’s ability to repel Russian attacks.

The deadline for the transfer of the US-made warplanes was the end of this month and it has been respected, according to people familiar with the matter, who spoke under condition of anonymity.

Putin is the President of Russia, therefore, in the eyes of most Russians, Putin is their Father (just as they looked upon the Czars as their Fathers), so looking through their eyes, we see a Father showing affection to his Children. It’s a symbolic gesture, nothing perverted.

The truth is that since 1900 Russia has lost more wars than it won including:

1. 1905 Russo-Japanese War
2. 1914-1917 First World War
3. 1939-1940 Winter War Invasion of Finland
4. 1979-1989 Invasion of Afghanistan

Of course, the Old Soviets won "The Big One, WWII", but only with massive aid from the US and Britain, along with the second, third and fourth fronts in Asia, Africa, Italy and France.
Soviets lost nearly 15% of their 1940 population in WWII.

And wars that Russians lose almost always result in internal revolutions against the old regime.

1. Loss of the Russo-Japanese War caused a democratic revolution in Russia.
2. Loss of the First World War caused the Communist Revolution.
3. Loss of the Winter War resulted in additional purges of Soviet generals which so weakened Stalin's army that it was not prepared for Hitler's 1941 invasion.
