I have seriously mixed feelings about voluntary euthanasia. If an adult in full mental capacity sees a painful end coming, then it seems they should have the choice to avoid it. The problem is that that assumes the best motives on everyone’s part.
Caregivers can influence those for whom they’re caring. How can you really tell those people who make a decision in their own best interest, and those people who are nudged gently, or not so gently, in that direction for the best interests of the care giver?
Until I can work out that question in my own head, I won’t vote for voluntary euthanasia, as I didn’t in MA.
The state has no business legalizing suicide or permitting the death industry. This really tweaks libertarians but that’s the way it is. If they’d only think it through once they’d see. It cannot ever possibly have a just end.
IMHO, it is a sin to insist that we know better than God does. We do not know better than He does.
We are not God. We cannot see the purpose in pain, but He does. We see bits and pieces. He sees it all. If He says we should suffer, for whatever reason, then perhaps we should go along with it, if we are to be obedient.
Even His own Son, Jesus Christ, suffered for us, out of obedience. And we are all the better off for His Sacrifice.
Again, this is JMHO.
What’s ridiculous is that there are pain meds to help people with terminal cancer that causes pain. And yet, doctors have their hands tied about prescribing enough to terminal patients under the pretense that the terminal patient MIGH T become addicted.
SO WHAT??????
And here liberal hellholes are handing out free drugs and drug paraphernalia to addicts so they can do drugs *safely*.
And they’re worried about the person becoming addicted, but not worried about murdering them?
The hypocrisy is staggering.
The left is not interested in helping anyone or improving anyone’s lot in life.
All they want is what their father below wants, to kill, steal, and destroy.
