Donald Trump has ignited alarm among his critics after telling a crowd of supporters that they won’t “have to vote again” if they return him to the presidency in November’s election.
“Christians, get out and vote! Just this time – you won’t have to do it any more,” the Republican former president said on Friday night at a rally hosted in West Palm Beach, Florida, by the far-right advocacy group Turning Point Action.
“You know what? It’ll be fixed! It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote any more, my beautiful Christians.”
At that point, with a slight shake of his head and his right hand pressed against the left side of his chest, Trump said, “I’m not Christian.” But he added: “I love you. Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.”
Trump’s remarks were immediately met with consternation in some political quarters.
The constitutional and civil rights attorney Andrew Seidel, for instance, replied to video of Trump’s comments circulating on X by writing: “This is not subtle Christian nationalism. He’s talking about ending our democracy and installing a Christian nation.”

With humility, I’d like to know the reason.
President Trump did not say he will "fix" the elections so nobody has to vote anymore.
Trump was talking about the trend amongst Christians that they turn out every Sunday to go to church, but they don't turn out for elections. He said he will "fix" the elections by reforming the process: no more mail-in ballots, elections on Election Day, voter ID, only citizens can vote.
He then said that he'd put drop boxes in churches so that the Christians can vote when they go to church. He said this was the most important election ever, so if you don't normally vote, please vote this time to elect Donald Trump and then you won't have to vote again.
That was it. That's what President Trump said.
The left is trying to turn this into another "bloodbath" comment by creating an entirely new context to insert his words into.

Before watching the two minutes of this video, I used to think that my local TV stations had their own reporters, they wrote their own copy, and they pushed local newsworthy stories. Now I know that they are fed a common script that they all read to their viewers across all TV affiliates across the country.

And even if he doesn’t “stick his foot in his mouth” the left will turn something innocuous into something huge. A recent example is the “bloodbath” comment. Stop your pearl clutching. He’ll never get a fair shake in the media. Right now their only job is to make it seem like Trump and Kameltoe are neck and neck so as to make the steal plausible.

His demeanor, his tone, his inflection, ALL lead us to believe he said “I’m a Christian”. Which is what he said.
I’ve listened to it sores of times and he definitely says “I’m a Christian”.
