Curious, given the significant knowledge and talent spread across the Freeper nation, which video editing software do you use?
I used Pinnacle for many years so I have a basic understanding.
There is definitely a learning curve, but editing video can really make a big difference in quality and presentation.
Any thoughts? In my case I'm using goPro now.
Has adobe changed their business model and stopped charging regular amateur consumers of the street many hundreds of dollars to use their software products?
If they are like microsoft they probably want you to sign up for a continuing subscription service so they can keep milking the cow.
If you just want to part time edit some video to upload to rumble or youtube or something, please don’t give people like Adobe your money.
I’m sorry I don’t have an actual suggestion for you because I don’t create videos and haven’t done so in a very long time, but I’m sure there must be some free or economical products out there that do a nice job. I think the one I used way back in the day was made by Ulead video studio and back in the day it wasn’t free but not fairly economical.
Yes, there are free options, DaVinci has one.
I use kdenlive
I use the on/off switch on the remote. /s
i use a lot of systems and find Final Cut Pro more intuitive and less intimidating.
DaVinci...
The free version very complete. It does have a learning curve but there are tons of youtube video’s showing you how to do anything so it’s not really that hard to use at all. I would go as far as saying it would be foolish to use anything else considering how powerful the free version is.
As a former 26 year Broadcast TV Producer, I still vote Final Cut Pro. It’s not loaded with goofy effects and transitions that you’ll never use. Plus, the price is now amazing. Most of it is intuitive and it can output to any format, from national networks to Instagram. Anything you see on television, FCP can do (except for cgi, of course).
Cyberlink Power Director
Check it out.
I use Video Pad. I’ve heard Adobe is better.
I use Magix. It’s pretty good.
I’m just a hack, but I’ve created and authored 4 DVD titles that were sold commercially, using various versions of then-Sony/now-Magix Vegas Pro and its DVD/Blu-ray production package, DVD Architect.
bkmk
Are you all makers of films?
Why would anyone need a video editing software?
I feel out of the loop here.
+1
Is Final Cut Pro only for Mac?
I wish that Final Cut Pro was available for Windows, because I’m still accustomed to working with a mouse. But the iPad version is quite good also. I’m starting to use it a bit more. Have been trying to launch a web video series (which will probably get 3 or 4 faithful viewers LOL).
Yeah, Final Cut Pro is primarily for Mac, no Windows at all. But it’s also ported to iOS devices like iPad. That’s where I’ve been using it some.
Yes, I think so. I might be wrong... I just never dawned on me to even consider that.
