That’s why it’s the final solution. Everything else should be used, including discipline. I would take my kid to the wrong side of town to try and teach what I am trying to avoid for him. I have no problem with showing him how hard life can be and, if he decides to not learn from me, he will be on his own when he’s 18.
If he is disciplined and productive, he’d be able to live as long as he wants to build a life, because I do believe that our children should get the best step out the door they can possibly have.
My five are basically grown now from 17-36
