If there is evidence of abuse by the mother...
If the courts indeed stated that when she turned 14 she could make her own choices of where to live...
If the dad is her most safe home...
I pray for victory for this girl.

Abusive homes are toxic to young minds and lives.

It appears the mother has already been caught lying, so I’ll guess than lying is just another form of her abuse and more than likely includes gas-lighting her daughter that she’s crazy.

It’ll come out in time.
Stay safe girl.
Get better

The cops are just doing their job. They are kind of in a bind. I have a feeling they know something is probably wrong if the girl doesn’t want to go with her mom so vociferously, but they are just executing a court order and they can’t really just walk away and say “ah well, I guess we tried”.

The problem is the system. Aside from the fact that the mother will get the benefit of any doubt (and probably for good reason, in general), the first person to hire a lawyer and get a court to make a decision for them is the one who controls the events that transpire and the others involved are stuck responding.

It just seems like that girl should have had some recourse our out besides just being forced by the court to potentially go into an abusive situation.
