It’s not always an easy call. We all have moments of weakness. It could lead to nothing, or it lead to disaster. Even the late, great Rush Limbaugh was an addict for a few years.
Some addicts are hopeless, and must be cut loose from society. But I believe I’d try Singapore’s approach first (post #19).

There is a difference between trying to control pain and using drugs for “recreation“.
