It allows you to leave the climate...................
People used to doubt electricity was real. Madam Currie died from radiation poisoning because they didn’t fully understand radiation and its effects. There are many things we don’t know anything about. 200’years ago nobody had the concept of radio waves and now we use them for mass communication and to connect our devices.
We used to ridicule the ancients for their belief in the aether which physicists are now calling quantum foam where subatomic particle pop in and out of existence.
Galileo showed that this “law” was wrong. They hit the ground at the same time. But it was already settled science. So poor ol’ Galileo got into trouble. Kinda like anyone who challenges Climate Change today.
Investment opportunities still available, but going fast!
OK ... Put it on a small spacecraft and go talk to SpaceX. Or RocketLab.
If it ‘works’, then why can’t they build their own ship?.................🙄
Pesky Newton.
“Works” in what sense?
Ion drives have already been used for powering spacecraft. They work by generating a small amount of thrust for a very long time. They’re great for driving spacecraft around the solar system, useless for lifting the spacecraft into orbit. SpaceX and RocketLab are really good at putting things in orbit; no need for these guys to reinvent the launch vehicle.
Until someone invents an ‘anti-gravity’ machine, we will still be using powerful chemical rockets to get to space. Not very efficient, but it works.
Ion engines work and are very efficient, but they are not powerful enough to move an object off the Earth.
Various schemes have been envisioned to do just that, like the ‘Space Elevator’ and the ‘Rocket Plane’.
I’m sure Musk is looking for anything ‘new’ that could possibly replace the chemical rockets now in use................
Yes, that’s my point.
They claim this thing “works” ... OK, build one, put it in orbit, and show us.
IMO, “Space Elevator” is a rubbish idea. Rocket Plane is not nonsense, the Pegasus launch vehicle successfully puts a small payload into LEO every few years.
Some information other than the marketing-oriented article by Debrief (which misspells Meritt Island)....

Here is a link to an interview with Buhler. It's all about that "electrostatic pressure" and there's even a patent this time.
31 minute embedded video interview with Tim Ventura -- Buhler's "electrostatic pressure Divine force..." at circa 29 minutes suggests something other than hard science.
Patent Info: System and method for generating forces using asymmetrical electrostatic pressure
Hope combined with M A R K E T I N G.
Here's an exercise. Try to find an actual mail address for Exodus Propulsion Technologies. The web site does not provide one, and the LinkedIn "link" for a primary address goes to the entire state of Florida. Rather non-specific.
Something is very odd with the Debrief article in not mentioning another name.
Applicants on the patent dated 2019 -- five years ago -- are AURIGEMA, Andrew, Neil (Oak Hill Florida) and BUHLER, Charles, Raymond ( Meritt Island Florida. )
The Buhler partner, Andrew Aurigema, has an hour-plus long YouTube video -- "Andrew Aurigema - Propellantless Drive Engineering Test 4k - Exodus 2024" Jul 5, 2024
80 microNewtons of thrust.... maybe up to 1000 microNewtons. Not a lot. At circa 5 1/2 minutes in that video, Aurigema says, "...there's two dozen ways this [ the equipment and experiment ] could be lying to you. I mean, if I wanted to I could make this do anything I wanted."
Please send money, And, by the way, the YouTube channel hosting this has been up since 2008, and says it is "The Alt Propulsion Engineering Conference™ (APEC) is the world's leading breakthrough space conference for Warp Drives, Gravity Control, Energy Tech & UFO Physics."
Believe.... There must be a free lunch "out there."
The baloney is out there................
I’ve seen some proposals that were things like “teflon drive” and magnetic, and they made sense.
It took 2 sentences at the front to see what they are doing. Ionizing chunks of teflon. Pulsing current through a long piece of wire and have the earth’s magnetic field push on it during orbit.
That all is legit stuff.
Stuff that spends paragraphs without saying what is what is somehting that I don’t read.
I am always highly interested in new science, or anything science related.
This was, unfortunately, highly disappointing.
I see the problem. Wile E. forgot the solar panels. Not woke.
And the windmill to recover the energy as he’s going down the road.....................
Always thought that was the coolest gadget. Really...just a thing of beauty.
One of my other favorite things...lol.
