No. Crooks stashed his DPMS AR-15 rifle before the shooting. That had to be done way before the rally to avoid being caught with the rifle. I also heard they knew the location it was stashed—Crooks hid his father’s rifle near the AC unit he used to climb up onto the roof of the AGR building. It was certainly not in his backpack because that was where they discovered the golf range finder.
