With what we think we know so far, my suspicion is that the various agents and cops onsite probably weren’t in on any plot, but that someone much higher up simply arranged the chess pieces, so to speak, into an unwinnable position and then just let the game play out. They developed a security plan that left gaping holes for the designated patsy to exploit, assigned lower-level and fumbling DEI staff to the security team, instead of actual SS agents, and also made sure there were not enough of any of them.

That way, should the plot fail, it would be easy to blame “incompetence”, fire a mid-level scapegoat or two, and then for the power players to retreat back into the shadows until the next attempt can be formulated.
