Yes indeed. Farmers downstream of 3GD who were seeing their crops dying from drought last week are seeing them washed away this week.

This is nothing new for China. There is a lot less arable land than you would think.

Historically, Southeast China has imported a large percentage of its caloric content from outside China. Only relatively recently have they been getting large amounts of their food from the north China plain.

The PRC is the world's largest importer of food. Should the CCP ever do something really stupid, like invade Taiwan, a lot of people are going to get hungry really fast.
