Can you give an idea what how this is going to affect (whatever it affects)? I don’t even know how to ask the right question!
There are millions of computers in America that will have to be physically accessed by a company hardware administrator. Among these millions of computers are millions of computers of folks who work remotely, like me. I’ve never seen the office my company has. It’s in a far away land from me.
If these computers are using Crowdstrike software they are now bricks. For instance, my work machine is unable to even be turned on unless it’s inside the company network. Nothing can be saved to an external device from this computer. I can’t plug in a thumb drive or second hard drive because I do not have the proper access. It takes an admin to get into the machine; again physically. This cannot happen over the Internet because the machine never loads Windows. It can’t even see the network. I have no idea when I’m going to be able to work.
