I have Windows 10, everything seems regular so far, just getting on now.
If you do not use Crowdstrike on your machine, you should not be impacted. Also, to be clear, this issue is not a virus. It is a bad file that causes the program to fail; resulting in the Blue Screen of Death. I have a friend who works for a very large US bank and they are impacted bigtime. Very time-consuming because users' machines are locked up so they cannot be accessed remotely for the repair. Each machine has to be accessed by someone with administrative access (not many of those) and on the physical machine, rebooted in safe mode, login, and remove the impacting file. The process is simple, but there are thousands of machines in his office and only a few people with the proper access. and they have many offices around the world. Nightmare.

Thanks for the explanation. Is this malfeasance or just “something that happens”?
