I was in DC when Nixon left the White House in August of ‘74. I looked around at all the buildings surrounding the White House. Every corner of every rooftop had a SS sniper on it. Rifleman and spotter. What happened here is a complete failure of DEI and political hatred for a presidential candidate. Biden/Obama worked to make this happen.
This is third world/thug dictator/east African (Kenya) tactics.

There is a rooftop restaurent just across 15th St NW from the White House. Been going there since I was a kid in the late 60s. Amazing views of the White House on your right, Washington Monument on your left.

Mature trees obscure the view of the helicopter landing on the south lawn and the president walking in the back door, but you can see the entire top of the White House, perpendicular to the terrace restaurant, east wing near, west wing far. You know that the helicopter is either about to arrive or preparing to leave when you see a phalanx of black-clad, heavily armed swat officers swarm all over the white rooftops.
