Did you unplug it for 30 seconds before restarting?
Just kidding.
It could be an authentication issue. Maybe log out and log in or delete and reinstall the app.

“Just kidding.”

Hardly! Unplug the AppleTV and plug it back in. Solves many problems.

Yep, I have to unplug my smart tvs and streaming devices pretty much weekly.

Funny how stupid “smart tvs” can get for that reason.

My AppleTVs are mostly on UPSs, and all my core networking gear, and I very rarely to never have a problem.

Not quite weekly here, but a few times per year.

My home security system includes a slick home automation system that I use to turn lights on and off for a lived-in look when we are out. It’s gone haywire. Some lights no longer go on at 6 am, some won’t go off at 11 pm. One more thing to trouble shoot and fix. Aaaarrrgh!! What a gigantic time-suck.

Ditto on the unplug/plug Smart TVs. LG in my case and I stream Youtube TV. Get dropped 2-3 times weekly. Apparently no fix in sight as I get updates but they’ve yet to fix it conclusively. PITA!

Yeah, I had to unplug and plug back my modem today to get on line.

I’m kind of embarrassed at how torqued I got.

I’ve got a Roku on a 10 year old Sony TV and an AppleTV on a 10 year old Panasonic plasma TV (both might be even older). Generally, the reliability of all that equipment has been outstanding requiring the occasional reboot. The Roku reliability is a bit better than the AppleTV reliability.

So far, all glitches have been “fixed” with a simple reboot.

My two Synology Network Attached Storage boxes that provide video and audio server service have been great, too.
