I love onions and garlic.

Never understand why people have an aversion to these vegetables.

Why? Because you have no culinary skills.

Start off on YouTube and search https://jacquespepin.com/. Look up his simple onion sandwich, the favorite of his wife.

Make it and take a bite. Have a glass of Chardonnay or Guwertztraminer around to wash it down.

I can see why Julie is just an internet writer and not a famous chef. A chef that doesn’t like onions? LOL

I cannot imagine life without onions and garlic. I think onions used to make me cry but I have been immune to that for some time now. I start just about anything with onion and garlic, bell pepper too. I don’t like raw onions too much but I have learned to tolerate them in small portions.

Ditto. Raw garlic also. Some varieties of sweet onion raw as well.

I’ve been teasing my wife for years. She hates onions, yet she loves onion rings.

???????????????????????????

“But they’re fried.”

“So they’re cooked. Yet why don’t you eat caramelized onions, or onions cooked in a stew, or....”

“Nope. Just onion rings.”

I love raw onions almost as much as cooked. My preference is Vidalia or Maui onions, but the rest of the year it’s plain old sweet yellow onions. I love garlic almost as much. I absolutely cannot stand to eat a ham or turkey sandwich or a burger that doesn’t have onions slathered on it.

I’m fine with cooked onions. Raw onions bug me sometimes.

Burt”s Original Lyrics were..m
“What the world needs now is Onions and Garlic!”
Dionne laughed in his face, and lit a cigarette.
Jackie DeShannon demanded a few changes..
The rest is music history.

Never understand why people have an aversion to these vegetables.

Humans have different olfactory responses to certain odors. I've learned over the years to tolerate onions as a flavoring, though I still don't like to eat them.

Garlic and a roadkill skunk smell exactly the same to me.

On the other hand, many people find the smell of durian revolting - but it doesn't really bother me at all.

I LOVE cooked or fried onions, but can’t stand un-cooked onions, and there is a simple reason.

Pledging my fraternity in the early 60’s, if I did anything an upper classman didn’t like, I was handed a huge raw Bermuda onion and forced to eat the whole thing raw.

The stench of my breath prevented me from having dates for a week, let along a kiss from a girl. And the taste in my mouth was also horrible for a week. No amount of Listerine or brushing teeth would help.

Stayed with my my whole life. Never forget.

Why do I Hate Onions?

Because you're stupid. And you're a fag. And your mother doesn't love you.

BWAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

I do not like clear and crunchy. That’s why I don’t like onions, or celery.

Onions are much to be preferred over liver.
Even onions cannot save liver.

Sauteed onions and mushrooms are really good with steak.

Not crazy about eating onions raw but will if I have to.

Onions are a great source of vitamin C and were used on sailing ships to prevent or treat scurvy. The Brits used limes for that purpose but those guys drink tea, for God's sake, so you can't take their taste choices seriously. Tepid leaf water. Yuck!

I'm a great believer in toleration when it comes to this sort of thing - if you don't like onions, fine, but it means you're genetically damaged and should be put down like a rabid dog. Don't even start me on beans in your chili.

My favorite hamburger has a thick slice of raw onion. I dip in some ketchup and have some cheese on the side.
