Actually, I made a delicious cherry pie for the 4th. Crust from scratch (I make a great pie crust), and I cheated by using some Amish cherry pie filling that I bought from the good folks north of me.
Sounds extremely tasty. I’m not totally opposed to baking in July but it’s 95 degrees here right now so I’ll wait for it to cool off a little. I love making my own crust too. Also the occasional cake of batch of cookies from scratch.
