One of Clint Eastwood’s famous “spaghetti Western” films, “A Fistful of Dollars,” is getting a remake thanks to the help of Hollywood and Italian veterans in the movie-making industry.
In a statement from Hollywood veteran Gianni Nunnari (300) and Simon Horsman of Euro Gang Entertainment, alongside Italian production veteran Enzo Sisti (Ripley) of FPC, and Rome-based Jolly Film (which produced the original movie), they said they were thrilled at the prospect of remaking one of Sergio Leone and Eastwood’s classic films, Deadline noted.
“I am delighted to partner with Gianni again having just worked with him on ‘Those About to Die’, and with Simon on the remake of this classic film, which created a whole new sub-genre in film spawning over 500 European westerns,” Sisti said.

come to think of it “hang her high” could be good with Jennifer Garner in the lead role.
It is possible to be good. The remake of True Grit was excellent.
I bet she won’t even carry a gun.

My guess is Hollywood is circling the drain and are trying to grab onto anything that could be a lifeline.

It was Eastwood’s incredible screen presence that made the spaghetti westerns. Apart from that they probably would never have been distributed in America.
And to expect those same people would be so eager for Chapter 2 that they would run to theaters again barely a month after Chapter 1's release was arrogance.

Why should people go to theaters to see anything when they KNOW they can just wait three weeks and see the movie from the comfort of home? And for less money?
I agree. I actually prefer it over the original.
And because enough people will be fooled by the name to attend a stupid woke movie.

Because the morons in Hollywood today have no creativity?
Perhaps it’s like todays communists who feel they could do it so much better.
You can’t really ‘remake’ a Sergio Leone film. That’s impossible. Its like remaking a Kubrick film, or a Hitchcock film... It really can’t be done.
The Birds 2... or Dr. Strangelove the sequel... It’s not going to happen.
Same plot for LAST MAN STANDING with Bruce Willis.
Hollywood has no new plots for movies. As one exec said decades ago about TV shows,”There are 39 basic plots for a TV show.” The question is, what are the other 32?
Same for movies. They ran out of plots for movies decades ago before the superhero schtick.
Another example of the remake being far better than the original = “The Razor’s Edge” with Bill Murray.
