I’ve been out many times in those hours, driving semi. But I was not going crazy fast.

Back in my long haul paper driver log days, it was a common tactic to park the truck outside a metro if it was bad weather or heavy traffic, sleep an hour or several, then wake up and cruise right through those cities.
