Amazing! When I was in Germany 50 years ago, I traveled everywhere by train, and only once was a train late, and that was for only 15 minutes. By contrast, when I rode on Amtrak, they were usually late, sometimes by as much as 14 hours.

I rode Metra into downtown Chicago for many years, mostly during inclement weather.
I have few complaints except for the loud talkers on cellphones, and I’m hearing impaired.
A few times each winter the doors would freeze open in extreme cold, but then the loud talkers would move to another car.
Most, but not all sounded like Arabic.
