It’s Kabuki theater.
There are two possibilities...
Either Deep State knows what it’s doing and its nyrmidons are squealing because they don’t...
Or there’s internecine warfare going on within Deep State.
If it’s the latter...
Goody.
This is a point where even if it is only deepstaters that know what is going on, it is not to their advantage that they know because they need their nyrmidoms to operate as though they think that they are in on the same secrets even though they are not. The deep state needs hands and their “hands” are suddenly divided from them. It will force the Deepstaters to act more with increased risk of public exposure. At some point it may get so bad the deepstaters will have to come out from hiding!
I believe that both conditions apply.
The minions are wailing because they don't know what is happening and they keep getting contradictory directions.
Factions of the inner circles are fighting with each other over the new power arrangements. Those folks know very well what they are doing, and they are doing it to each other. The outcome has not been settled yet.
Maybe all of the factions can demolish each other. That would be the best outcome for the rest of us.
I think it is the latter
