A record from 1972? And after that it got cooler, right?

A record from 1905? And after that it got cooler, right?

Just checked, here in Vegas it’s 106F.
Starting to cool down. I’ll think I’ll hit the pool.

If memory serves, it hit 106° in New York City back in 1966.

How can they have a clue to what the record temperature is? Nobody was around to measure it for a million years. For all we know it could now be cooler than that it was 1000 years ago.

All weather Organisations spew weather fear porn for clicks and agenda. The current “heat dome” and hurricane Beryl non stop hysterics is nauseating.

“In a recent paper published in Nature, a team of scientists showed the unprecedented increase in the global stratospheric water mass by 13% (relative to climatological levels) and a five-fold increase of stratospheric aerosol load – the highest in the last three decades.”

You know that vapor traps a lot of heat. Should see spikes for another 5 -7 years it has been claimed.

B.S.

Thermometers mounted on rooftops or in asphalt parking lots skew temperature readings upward.

Lived in California’s central valley for 40 years. Every summer it gets hot, very hot. However this is normally in the upper 90s. But a couple of times a year the temperature will reach into the triple digits and hang around for a week or two. We call it summer.

Will it be as hot in So Cal as in around 1999? it was when the lines from power plants in the north were overheating. I mentioned to friends in CA that WE in the Oklahoma area had so much extra power we were opening the outlets and letting it run out on the ground.
