There IS a conservative movement in the public school teachers' ranks and they're not buying into the woke rhetoric.
Inasmuch as I doubt their plurality within the Union, they do get to live with the consequences of woke conditioning. So its existence is understandable.

Yes, indeed. And it has always been there. I was an involuntary member of a teachers union for decades. And the membership has always pretty much reflected the makeup of the neighborhood.
The problem is that teacher union elections are wildly undemocratic. I could tell you stories that would make Stalin blush. So while the membership might be 35% conservative, there’d be no conservative leaders.
