Palatka pipe bomb ping!

This happened a couple of months ago, my wife and I own real estate just outside of Palatka where this event happened.

One of the biggest cash businesses in that area is crystal meth that is cooked up in run down trailers by amateur chemists that are lucky they don’t blow themselves up.

This idiot had rigged up a pipe bomb that was probably made to discourage anyone from stealing his stash.

a long time friend has relatives in that area and the real truth is it IS meth heaven. told me the only guarantee around palatka is that every third person you meet there is either on meth or is related to someone who is.

This incident was a big deal down there, it’s a small town, the county is a rural agricultural area, plus all the local media that showed up, it’s not often they have to call in the Feds to help them since it was a bomb and potential terrorist activity and getting a bomb squad brought in from a neighboring county.

We used to take our boat from Welaka where our real estate is located to Corky Bell’s all the time. In fact, we used to bar hop, we would take our boat thru Dunn’s Creek to Crescent Lake, eat at 3 Bananas and on the return trip would turn north to Corky Bell’s for a drink before heading back to Welaka.
