Indeed you are correct, however the incarceration of both Bannon and Navarro will have utility going forward. For more than 240 years we had a precedent of lines that were not crossed, we respected Attorney/Client privilege, Executive privilege, and there was an unspoken agreement on how far we would allow political differences to devolve.
That understanding is now dead. Going forward now we can set aside those old agreements, civility and understanding and get to the business of prosecuting and incarcerating the real enemies of our civil society.
