One of the first objects I looked at in the sky when I bought my first serious telescope was the Triffid. The Southern sky from my back yard was fairly dark and I could just make out the Milky Way, or parts of it. I was so excited to actually find something on that Star map I was using. I could just make out the dust lanes. After a while it became more difficult to make out those โ faint fuzziesโ, and I realized it was getting close to morning twilight.
