Where abouts, if I may ask? I know to stay away from the Picher area of the state cuz it's too toxic to live there, but for someone like me who is looking for a nice town in central US to retire to, I'm running out of options.
One hears that Bartlesville is livable, or the Grand Lake area...

Mears area is good. Lawtonka acres nearby is on the lake.
Dry heat, 4 seasons, walking and hiking, low taxes, low cost of living, low-Karen count. Many of the locals are ‘love-thy-enemy’ Baptists. So it does attract a fair share of predators.
Tulsa’s not great but there is a whole lot worse. I think that guy is born and bred Pitcher through and through.
