As someone who taught chemistry and physics, I totally agree with you. And by the way, so does Albert Einstein.
Einstein was once asked what the speed of sound was. He answered with a smile. “I don’t know. I don’t burden my memory with such facts that I can easily find in any textbook.”
I should think he was able to memorize it because he understands it ... not withstanding his phenomenal memory. Cheers! Gotta go raise the flag ... proudly!
