Fun.

When I wuz a kid in WNYS in the 50s/60s there used to be VFD competitions at the local strip mall.

They all had some kind of tricked out hose truck to use to race to hook up to the hydrant and fill a barrel up on a scaffold.

I think it was head to head pairs in some kind of elimination contest.

yup... the drags were always the best

the next town over had the Swamp Stompers drag truck but i can’t find any pix anymore
