I don’t know if this Covid development influenced the nicotine craze, but there is medical evidence suggesting that smokers serendipitously avoided getting Covid because the nicotine from their smoking somehow blocked the spike protein. There’s a doctor, Bryan Ardis, who subscribes to this theory and he reports applying a nicotine patch on a daily basis as a prophylactic measure against getting Covid. I suppose the patch would be an alternative to the pouch. I don’t know all the ins and outs of nicotine, but men have smoked tobacco since ancient times. Obviously, it’s the nicotine they’re craving.
I've tried nicotine patches. They aggravated my skin tremendously. They caused pain and welts and itched worse than bug bites.
The Zyn pouches don't do this.
